FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTions
If you do not find the answer to your question on this page, please contact me using the “Contact” page in the menu.
What medium are your original paintings in?
I usually work with acrylic mixed media- acrylic paints along with charcoal, pencil, pastel, collage etc. These paintings are either on stretched canvas or wood panels.
I also have oil paintings on paper.
The details are listed on the page for each painting in the shop.
You can also filter them by their media categories on the shop page.
Are your paintings ready to hang when I receive them?
My acrylic paintings on canvas and wood panel come with a hanging wire attached to the back, all ready to go on your wall.
But if you would like them custom framed in a colour that works with the painting, you are welcome to do so when you receive the painting, or get in touch with me to make that happen for you.
Framing does add extra size and hence, shipping cost to the total cost.
My oil paintings on paper are sold with a mat and a backing, but no frame. They are ready to go in a standard sized frame.
Shipping frames with glass front for the oil paintings would be a hassle. But if you are local, and would like me to frame them for you, please get in touch, and we can talk about the extra cost associated with framing them before you receive them.
Can I buy prints of your paintings?
I don’t have a print option for my paintings at this moment. All my art is original one-off paintings. I may explore prints in the future.
I don’t have a PayPal account. Can I pay another way?
You don’t have to have a PayPal account to make a payment. Once you get to the payment section, you will have two options to pay with: either using your PayPal account if you have one, or using a credit card.
As a third option, you can get in touch with me to do an e-transfer of funds using email addresses. That way I save on credit card and PayPal fees!
My favourite painting has sold…now what?
I’m sorry you couldn’t get the work you wanted!
Make sure you join my mailing list to find out about new work before I add it to the shop on the website.
How will the paintings be wrapped for shipping?
Depending on the size and surface of the painting, I will ship them wrapped in bubble wrap and cardboard with the corners protected, so that they arrive in a perfect condition.
Do you do commissions?
At this point in time, no. My technique for making abstract art is quite intuitive. I have no idea how a painting will turn out when I start, as I only start with a basic palette of paints to guide me. Considering that, I am not comfortable working with someone else’s idea of what a painting should end up looking like.
In the future, I may make less abstract artwork, and then a commission may be a more suitable option for me to offer.
